GALLERY: PLAY WITH ME / ENTRY. This wall serves as an introduction to the various concepts and themes found throughout the museum. For some of the graphics throughout the museum I transformed the children's artwork using not only color, but also by layering in a real photograph to place them in the "real world." In this case, you can see the pond photograph used in the frog artwork bottom left, as well as a photo of the Mississippi River used in the drawing of the bird on the top. All artwork on this panel also shows up again elsewhere in the museum.
GALLERY: MOVE WITH THE RIVER. Overview of the gallery. The satellite image of New Orleans, in the water table, was the result of several conversations with NASA and multiple revisions to ensure we had the right post-Katrina imagery. Also note the various circle graphics along the water table, these feature children's artwork alongside fun facts about the river and the cities (the shape of the water table is the Mississippi River).
GALLERY: FOLLOW THAT FOOD. The "cafe" walls featured all of the children's artwork used in this gallery, recolored and printed on frosted acrylic.

GALLERY: FOLLOW THAT FOOD. Throughout the museum we featured real members of the Louisiana community. This is an actual recipe from "Grandpa B."

GALLERY: PLAY WITH ME. Throughout the museum we featured real members of the Louisiana community. In this image, the quote is from "Grandmother Chase."

GALLERY: MOVE WITH THE RIVER. Close up detail of a vinyl graphic with hand-dryers mounted. For many of the graphics I transformed the child's artwork using not only color, but also layered in a real photograph to add texture – in this case, I used a photo of waves for the water.

GALLERY: DIG INTO NATURE. This bird graphic made an intentional earlier appearance at the entrance to the museum.
